MAP Space Coatings announces the appointment of Pierre Valenti as Chief Executive Officer. In his new role, he is responsible for the company's strategy and operational management, with the primary objective of deploying MAP Space Coatings' strong sectorial expertise as a strategic partner to its customers.
A seasoned professional in business development, strategic marketing and organizational management, Pierre Valenti has devoted his entire professional career, which began in 1994, to the space sector, most often in business contexts with strong international exposure. His rich career includes a full decade (1999-2009) spent as Marketing and Sales Manager in the Telecommunications Satellite Business Directorate of Airbus Defence & Space (Space Systems Division). He then served as Chief Marketing Officer of Arianespace between 2009 and 2011. In addition to this solid industrial experience, Pierre worked for leading consulting firms such as Accenture (1994-1996), Euroconsult (1996-1998, then 2020-2024) and Satconsult (2011-2012). He also held the positions of Deputy Director General (2012-2013) and Director General (2014-2019) of the Institute of Aeronautics and Space (IAS). Since 2022, he has also been in charge of the "Space Business & Applications" Global Executive MBA (GEMBA) program at TBS Education in Toulouse.
“Given his background, Pierre's arrival at the helm of MAP Space Coatings marks a real turning point in the company's long history, particularly in view of the strong changes that the space value chain and the related ecosystem of players have been going through for several years. We are confident that it will enable MAP Space Coatings to take a step forward not only in the realization of new organic and external growth opportunities, but also in the consolidation of its historical base of most loyal customers”, commented Bertrand d'Arzac, Chairman of the capital entity MAP Holding, which owns 100% of MAP Space Coatings.
“It is a real source of motivation for me to take the reins of an industrial player with such an established reputation as MAP Space Coatings, whose solid foundations I have regularly been able to measure in its almost four decades of existence. In a business dynamic primarily focused on the relationship with our customers, I look forward to actively contributing in all its forms to the development of the company, whether in terms of business acquisition, international development, the setting up of innovative partnerships or the projection in confidence of its teams over the long term”, said Pierre Valenti when he took office on April 2.
