MAP Coatings reopened its production site on 20th April, following 4 weeks of stoppage due to the Covid-19 crisis.
To do so, the Ariège-based company made use of the effective remote working tools set up in 2013. MAP Coatings also worked on the reorganization of its teams and processes with the intention of mitigating the production delay during the lockdown period. A continuity plan was also set up in order to respond to further turbulent periods in the coming months.
A return to regular activity is anticipated for the month of June due to the prompt adaptability and reactivity of the company, which is maintaining its growth objective for 2020.
Creation of a continuity plan to guarantee the proper functioning of production.
Still with a focus on reducing risk—which is important in a field dedicated to coatings for the space sector—MAP Coatings set up a continuity plan for its activities. It intends to anticipate the organizational measures that would need to be rolled out in order to continue to produce and ship if a further lockdown period were deemed necessary.
